The Oregonian and WorkplaceDynamics LLP Team Up to Discover Top Places to Work in Oregon

Mulino, OR – April 8, 2014 – Sunstone Circuits®, the leading printed circuit board (PCB) prototype solutions provider, has been named one of The Oregonian Top Work Places for 2013. Companies were recognized based on several factors around employee engagement, direction, execution, connection, leadership, pay and benefits.

The Oregonian newspaper teamed up with consulting and data-gathering firm WorkplaceDynamics LLP each of the last two years in an effort to discover which organizations have the happiest workers in Oregon and southwest Washington. The result of that collaboration is the Top Workplaces for 2013.

Starting with employee recommendations and self-nominations, WorkplaceDynamics invited 1,070 companies to participate in confidential employee surveys. Of those, 138 agreed to make their more than 43,500 employees available for paper or online surveys. More than 60 percent of the employees at the participating companies responded, answering 22 questions apiece with a range of answers on a seven-point scale. They were allowed to leave additional comments on questions they felt strongly about or wanted to explain. Anonymously, they gave their opinions on everything from pay and benefits to working conditions and corporate leadership.
